ProgramsMaking a Difference in the Lives of Children, One by One
The Arizona State Board of Education has adopted academic standards in language arts, mathematics, science, the arts, comprehensive health, foreign language, technology, social studies, and workplace skills. Ganado Primary School also offers Navajo language to meet the foreign language requirement. You can learn more about the Arizona state standards on the side of this page.
Because we believe in educating the whole child here at Ganado Primary, we know how important it is to offer programs outside the classroom that will help expand the range of experiences students receive as a part of their education. In addition to our outstanding academic programs, we offer our students the following opportunities:
Student Council
Students will have the chance to create a representative-based school government where they can become more involved in the affairs of the school. Student council officers and representatives will work in partnership with school administrators, staff, other students, and parents for the benefit of the school. Student council is all about affecting positive change and learning that one person really can make a difference. Students should contact their teacher or the school office for more information about getting involved.
After-School Clubs
As a way of encouraging our students to pursue interests such as cultural dance, athletics, and art, we are happy to offer the following after-school clubs:
- Pow Wow Club
- Volleyball Club
- Basketball Club
- Art Club
Students who wish to become involved in one of our after-school clubs should contact their teacher or the school office.
